About The Position

Drive Operational Intelligence, Efficiency, and Business Analysis by providing high-quality, reliable data that powers insights across Walmart Connect, with a focus on operational KPIs and scalable data frameworks. Build, own, and maintain robust, end-to-end data pipeline infrastructure with a focus on reliability, observability, and scalability that serves as the source of truth for operational intelligence data. Merge and join various data sources and develop/optimize complex queries and scripts to create aggregated tables and views for statistical analysis and reporting. Automate business review decks and reporting processes, leveraging GenAI and other automation tools to provide the data and insights behind business reviews. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, product, sales) to improve operational KPIs for Walmart Connect through best practices in data capture, storage, retrieval, and quality. Implement intelligent alerting and anomaly detection mechanisms for proactive response to data issues. Champion engineering discipline by establishing clean code practices, version control (Git/GitHub), and collaborative code reviews (PRs), setting up infrastructure and standards for the team. Demonstrate high productivity and expertise with modern data and development tools, including Python, SQL, GCP, Git/GitHub, Airflow, and VS Code. Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and techniques to set technical standards, drive automation, and enhance team productivity, fostering a research-driven approach to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. This position does not supervise employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or related field and 1 year’ experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area OR 4 years' experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area.
  • Experience developing SQL queries to conduct data analysis using multiple data sources across Google BigQuery, Hive, Oracle SQL, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or related field and 2 years’ experience conducting mathematical or statistical research, analysis and modeling intelligence, corporate security, or related area OR 4 years’ experience conducting mathematical or statistical research, analysis and modeling intelligence, corporate security, or related area.

Nice To Haves

  • Media analytics experience in a digital advertising environment is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Ad network/Ad exchange/DSP/SSP/Publisher preferred.
  • Experience designing, operationalizing, and maintaining self-serve dashboards using Tableau or Looker.
  • Familiarity with CRM and AdTech systems a plus (Salesforce, Google Ads Manager, etc.).
  • Excellent communicator, across multiple levels/functions with the ability to influence and drive action.
  • Strong written, presentation and verbal communication with the ability to express complex topics clearly and easily.
  • Proven track record of partnering across cross functional teams to derive and communicate insights.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup like environment.
  • Excellent time management skills with a focus on execution, ability to juggle multiple urgent requests and prioritize responsibilities.
