About The Position

As Manager, Data & Analytics, you will serve as a subject matter expert for Personal Operations data, driving analysis and insights to identify risks and monitor key metrics. You will support business strategies through data analysis, mapping, and standardization, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data governance and align analytics initiatives with organizational goals. You will also be a key partner within the PBO Team by supporting data analysis and communicating meaningful insights when collaborating with external partners, including Workforce Management Optimization, Operational Data, Information and AI.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of data and analytics work experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration or related field
  • Proficiency with Datameer, Python, SQL, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, or other data visualization tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and time management skills with high attention to detail
  • Self-starter/ growth mindset with bias for action, ability to think strategically while remaining laser-focused on the achievement of outcomes
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to conceptualize strategy
  • Ability to think outside the box, quickly adapt and change in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Personal Operations / Operational Data & Systems
  • Master’s degree or certifications in Data Analytics

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end data analytics projects to address business challenges
  • Maintenance of routine data reports for various lines of businesses across Personal Banking Operations (PBO)
  • Connect data trends to financial impacts, and provide predictive analytics
  • Support resource capacity management reporting for PBO
  • Partner with business units to translate needs into actionable analytics solutions
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations on opportunities to increase productivity, optimize costs, improve client/employee experience, and support decision-making
  • Contribute to innovations by identifying high-impact use cases for intelligent agents and automation
  • Support team members by looking for opportunities for workflow optimization and efficiencies in reporting, deepening performance insights and tracking
  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with organizational standards
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation related to reporting solutions, including specifications, data lineage, technical and business definitions for metrics
  • Implement and maintain appropriate risk controls to protect the organization and its clients
  • Ensure all initiatives comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide
