About The Position

Directs development and execution of customer-centric energy programs and long-term initiatives—such as distributed generation, net metering, energy efficiency, demand response, and electrification—ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, organizational objectives, and evolving customer needs. Guides the design, enhancement, and implementation of customer energy program strategies and pilot initiatives and projects to drive innovation while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational objectives. Oversees the reporting and forecasting functions by directing the creatin of data-driven insights, and executive summaries that ensure operational accuracy and support leadership decision-making and strategic planning. Coordinates cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, regulatory, IT, and communications teams to ensure seamless program execution and customer satisfaction. Manages and develops team members to build capability and improve collaboration, resulting in higher engagement and productivity. Defines and monitors departmental KPIs and strategic direction of programs—including distributed generation, net metering, energy efficiency, demand response, and electrification—to achieve targets, identify trends and drive continuous improvement. Develops and manages departmental budgets to allocate resources effectively and meet operational targets. Leads, models and ensures consistent application of policies and regulatory standards across teams to support ethical operations and mitigate compliance risks. Leads and validates the planning and execution of restoration and emergency preparedness activities to strengthen operational resilience and response capacity. Assumes and oversees expanded duties aligned with organizational priorities and professional scope to drive departmental effectiveness and strategic alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 5 years' experience in a similar functional role., with at least 3 years' overseeing employees directly, leading teams, budgets and projects in a supervisor role.
  • Experience in technical and specialized activities, related to customer programs strategy, including but not limited to program design, regulatory filings, compliance support, and performance optimization such as energy efficiency and distributed energy resource.
  • Experience managing day-to-day operations, teams, defining work plans and achieving departmental objectives.
  • Experience in budget planning, development and effective administration.
  • Proven ability to manage the preparation, quality control and delivery of analysis, reports, communications and presentations.
  • Ability to foster a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong ability to develop and deliver effective presentations, facilitate strategic discussions, and influence senior stakeholders through collaboration, public speaking, and trusted partnerships at all organizational levels.
  • Strong interpersonal and management capabilities to lead diverse teams and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills (in both Spanish and English)
  • Valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with regulatory frameworks and energy program requirements is preferred.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field may substitute when accompanied by a minimum of 3 years of experience performing related functions and at least 2 years in a manager role.
