About The Position

We are seeking an experienced communications manager based in Austin, Texas, to serve as the embedded communications partner for Customer Operations and the Austin site. This individual will work closely with local leaders and employees to strengthen communication, engagement, and connection while supporting broader Allergan Aesthetics U.S. Commercial priorities. A core focus of the role will be establishing a strong, consistent cadence of Austin site and leadership communications, including quarterly and end-of-quarter updates, local town halls, site materials, employee announcements, and engagement campaigns. Through close partnership with Austin colleagues, the Manager will develop a deep understanding of the organization, its people, and the end-to-end customer experience. Building on that foundation, the Manager will provide increasingly strategic communications support for Customer Operations programs, milestones, and operational initiatives. This individual will translate complex topics into clear, coordinated communications, connect Customer Operations work to broader commercial priorities, and help anticipate communications needs, opportunities, and risks. As a member of the broader Corporate & Commercial Communications team, this individual will collaborate regularly with communications colleagues while operating day to day alongside the Austin-based leaders and employees they support. The role requires a proactive, highly independent communications professional who can build trusted relationships, readily integrate into projects, and manage work from strategy and stakeholder counsel through development, approvals, and execution.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in communications, employee engagement, change management, project or program management, business operations, or a related discipline, preferably within a large, matrixed organization.
Demonstrated ability to operate independently, proactively identify business needs, provide clear recommendations, and move complex work forward with appropriate leadership oversight.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an embedded business-partner model, building a strong sense of connection with the colleagues supported while maintaining alignment with a broader functional team.
Experience developing employee communications and engagement campaigns that build connection, inspire participation, and strengthen organizational culture.
Intellectual curiosity and the ability to quickly learn complex operational processes and translate technical information into clear, audience-centered communications.
Proven ability to build credibility with senior leaders and subject-matter experts, anticipate stakeholder needs, and influence across functions.
Experience developing and executing integrated communications strategies for initiatives across multiple audiences, channels, and business functions.
Exceptional writing, editing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to independently develop clear, polished presentations and translate complex information into effective visual narratives.
Ability to quickly learn and confidently use new communications platforms and digital tools; working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Asana, Staffbase, and Canva is preferred.
Strong business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to connect individual initiatives to broader organizational, commercial, and customer priorities.
Excellent project management skills and the ability to balance strategic planning, recurring deliverables, and time-sensitive execution in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Build a working knowledge of Customer Operations, the Allergan Aesthetics product portfolio, and the end-to-end customer experience to provide increasingly strategic and informed communications counsel.
Develop and execute communications plans for Customer Operations programs, milestones, and operational excellence initiatives, connecting the work to broader U.S. Commercial priorities and the Allergan Aesthetics brand.
Translate complex operational information into clear, relevant, and actionable communications.
Proactively build relationships with project teams and subject-matter experts; embed within relevant initiatives; and identify communications needs, opportunities, and risks.
Develop a working understanding of order management, distribution, and related processes, partnering with subject-matter experts to communicate operational topics accurately and effectively.
Develop and manage communications for operational initiatives, recurring business needs, disruptions, emerging issues, and other time-sensitive developments affecting the employee or customer experience.
Exercise independent judgment to develop recommendations, propose solutions, establish next steps, and advance work with appropriate leadership oversight.
Maintain an integrated Customer Operations communications calendar and provide visibility into upcoming milestones and audience impacts.
Establish appropriate feedback and measurement mechanisms to assess communications effectiveness and inform future planning.
Serve as a trusted communications partner to Austin site leaders and their teams, becoming a visible and integrated member of the local organization.
Lead planning and content development for quarterly and end-of-quarter leadership communications, local town halls, employee meetings, organizational announcements, and other recurring site communications.
Establish and manage an effective communications and engagement cadence for Austin employees, ensuring timely visibility into business priorities, site developments, and opportunities to participate.
Develop creative communications campaigns and employee experiences in partnership with Austin leaders and relevant functions to bring colleagues together, strengthen connection to the organization, and build awareness, participation, and community around shared priorities.
Help leaders communicate business, operational, and workplace priorities with clarity and appropriate context, bringing forward recommendations when communications needs, opportunities, or risks emerge.
Partner with the Allergan Aesthetics Corporate & Commercial Communications function on sensitive or high-impact communications affecting customers, field teams, or the broader business.
Support select cross-functional initiatives involving Inside Sales, and other Corporate & Commercial Communications priorities.
Collaborate regularly with Corporate & Commercial Communications colleagues while remaining closely connected to Austin-based leaders and teams, ensuring messaging consistency and alignment across the organization.
Independently drive assigned workstreams from discovery and strategic recommendation through stakeholder alignment, approvals, execution, and measurement.
Quickly orient to new projects, identify relevant stakeholders, and advance work with a high degree of autonomy.
Apply Corporate & Commercial Communications governance, editorial standards, channel strategy, and approval processes across assigned work.
Improve communications planning, templates, and cross-functional coordination.
Manage competing priorities and timelines while maintaining quality, appropriate stakeholder visibility, and timely escalation of sensitive or high-risk issues.
