The ICU & IMCU Manager is responsible for the implementation of the vision, mission, philosophy and core values of the organization and of Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center within defined areas of responsibility as well as for establishing and fulfilling department-specific strategic and operational goals and objectives. Accountable to the Director of Critical Care Services to maintain 24/7 leadership and supervision of designated departments so that safe, quality, cost-effective and comprehensive services are provided. Directs the nursing practice of professionals and support personnel in accordance with standards of practice as defined by the Kentucky Board of Nursing and in accordance with the Ephraim McDowell Health nursing professional practice model and collaborative interdisciplinary care delivery system. Coordinates nursing care with physicians and others in a manner that promotes shared nursing leadership and collaboration with other disciplines to accomplish patient and family-centered care.
