About The Position

The Manager, Studio Pre-Production Operations role is a key leadership position responsible for owning and scaling pre-production operations that enable efficient, high-quality content creation for our US eCommerce business. You’ll sweep us off our feet if: · You have strong experience in studio operations, production planning, or pre-production within a creative or eCommerce environment · You understand retail product content workflows end-to-end, from intake through final delivery · You are highly organized, analytical, and able to manage complex workflows and competing priorities · You have experience leading teams and developing talent in a fast-paced environment · You are skilled at building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders · You bring a process-oriented mindset with a focus on scalability and continuous improvement · You thrive in ambiguity and are energized by solving operational challenges at scale You’ll make an impact by: Pre-Production Ownership & Strategy · Owning the pre-production function, including planning, intake, and asset readiness · Establishing planning frameworks, intake models, and capacity strategies to support business needs · Designing and implementing scalable pre-production processes that improve efficiency and throughput Operational Excellence & Workflow Management · Driving workflow health across intake, planning, and readiness to ensure seamless production execution · Making decisions on team operations, prioritization, and process improvements · Forecasting, monitoring, and managing pre-production capacity, timelines, and deliverables · Improving speed, scalability, and quality of intake and pre-production outputs · Adapting to evolving business needs and leading through change Cross-Functional Alignment · Partnering closely with production, photography, styling, merchandising, and creative teams to ensure alignment · Driving clarity and coordination across upstream and downstream functions · Building strong relationships to support efficient handoffs and execution Team Leadership & Development · Directly managing pre-production team(s), including planners, coordinators, or producers · Setting performance expectations and holding the team accountable to goals and outcomes · Coaching, developing, and building team capabilities to support growth and scale · Supporting company mission, values, and ethical standards in all business practices Risk Management & Problem Solving · Anticipating upstream risks and dependencies that could impact production timelines · Building safeguards, contingency plans, and escalation paths · Identifying and addressing systemic challenges to improve overall operations Financial & Resource Management · Coordinating and managing pre-production budgets, resources, and vendor relationships as applicable · Optimizing resource allocation to balance cost, speed, and quality The above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed in the role. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Creative Writing, Advertising, Fine Arts, or related field and 1 year's experience in interactive design, editorial content management, or related field OR 3 years' experience in interactive design, editorial content management, or related field.
