About The Position

The Manager, CQ QMS Quality Exec & Metrics is responsible for leading Quality Management System (QMS) execution, governance, and performance metrics within Commercial Quality. This role plays a critical part in enabling data‑driven decision‑making, executive‑level quality visibility, and consistent QMS execution across commercial operations. The position partners closely with Commercial Quality leaders, Regulatory Affairs, and cross‑functional stakeholders to strengthen compliance, transparency, and continuous improvement, directly supporting patient safety and business performance. Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Life Sciences, Regulatory Affairs, Business, or a related discipline (required).
  • Typically 6-8 years of progressive experience in Quality, Compliance, Regulatory, or related roles within a regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with Quality Management Systems and quality performance metrics.
  • Experience developing and presenting executive‑level dashboards, reports, and insights.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and quality requirements impacting commercial operations.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across complex, cross‑functional environments.
  • English required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or MBA (preferred).
  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting Commercial Quality or post‑market quality functions.
  • Exposure to audit readiness, management review, or inspection support activities.
  • Experience working in a global or matrixed organization.
  • Quality or Regulatory certifications (e.g., ASQ, RAC).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Quality, Regulatory, or Analytics certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution and governance of Commercial Quality QMS processes, ensuring alignment with global quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor executive‑level quality dashboards, metrics, and performance indicators.
  • Provide clear, actionable quality insights to senior leadership to support informed decision‑making.
  • Partner with Commercial Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Operations teams to ensure consistent QMS implementation across markets.
  • Monitor quality trends, risks, and compliance gaps; drive corrective and preventive actions as needed.
  • Support internal and external audits, inspections, and management reviews related to Commercial Quality QMS performance.
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of quality data used for reporting and executive communications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QMS effectiveness, standardization, and metric maturity.
