About The Position

The Corporate Strategy & Development group is responsible for driving the company’s long-term growth and value creation by shaping strategic priorities, evaluating new market opportunities and executing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic transactions. CS&D reports directly to RTX’s President & CEO and the team serves as advisors to company leadership on the highest value issues and opportunities facing the company. The Manager position will be responsible for supporting a wide range of strategy and M&A projects. This individual will partner closely with senior leaders to evaluate growth opportunities, drive portfolio strategy, and support M&A transactions. The candidate must be a methodical, structured thinker and must have the ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned projects/tasks and independently drive for results.

Requirements

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Proven analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of RTX’s enterprise and business unit strategies aligned with long-term growth objectives
  • Conduct defense and commercial aerospace market, customer, and competitor analyses to assess industry trends, threats, or emerging opportunities
  • Assess customer needs, defense budget priorities, acquisition trends, and geopolitical developments to inform strategies
  • Support annual strategic planning processes, portfolio reviews, and long-range business unit planning
  • Contribute to acquisitions, divestitures, other financial transactions and strategic opportunities by supporting financial modeling, presentation development and due diligence execution
  • Construct analytical models in support of various strategy analyses
  • Assist in the preparation of senior-level briefings, which involves summarizing and communicating insights at the right level
  • Balance multiple projects while collaborating in a cross-functional work environment
