About The Position

The Corporate Strategy & Development group is responsible for driving the company’s long-term growth and value creation by shaping strategic priorities, evaluating new market opportunities and executing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic transactions. CS&D reports directly to RTX’s President & CEO and the team serves as advisors to company leadership on the highest value issues and opportunities facing the company. The Manager position will be responsible for supporting a wide range of strategy and M&A projects. This individual will partner closely with senior leaders to evaluate growth opportunities, drive portfolio strategy, and support M&A transactions, including separation and integration activities. The candidate must be a methodical, structured thinker and must have the ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned projects/tasks and independently drive for results.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience with RTX Corporate Strategy and Development Team
  • Must be a U.S. Person.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace & defense, industrial, or technology sectors.
  • Several years of transactional experience (e.g., investment banking, corporate development, consulting, venture capital).
  • Familiarity with financial data platforms (e.g., S&P Capital IQ, FactSet, Bloomberg).

Responsibilities

  • Support acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic financial transactions through financial modeling, presentation development, and due diligence.
  • Monitor and evaluate acquisition targets and peer activities, including tracking key events and analyzing financial statements.
  • Support integration and separation planning for businesses involved in acquisitions or divestitures.
  • Build analytical models to support various strategic analyses with limited supervision.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of RTX’s enterprise and business unit strategies.
  • Conduct market, competitive, and financial analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing senior-level briefings by summarizing insights from detailed analyses.
  • Manage multiple projects while collaborating effectively in a cross-functional environment.
