About The Position

This role involves formulating and implementing effective corporate communications and public affairs strategies to enhance the Corporation's and its key initiatives' local and overseas awareness. The position will manage executive communications, including strategic planning and drafting of materials for senior leadership. It also requires collaborating with partners for media engagement events, promoting Hong Kong's innovation and technology (I&T) ecosystem, and working with tech ventures and startups to raise their profiles. The role supports the development of integrated communications strategies covering stakeholder engagement, reputation and issue management, and media relations. Additionally, it involves developing and editing corporate literature and press materials, building relationships with media and stakeholders, handling media inquiries, and monitoring public and media opinions. Any other duties assigned by supervisor or management will also be part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Translation, business or other related disciplines
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in communications, preferably gained in MNC / sizable technology companies
  • Multi-tasking under tight schedule, good at problem solving and attentive to details
  • Proven track record to organise large-scaled publicity and promotion programmes & campaigns
  • Passionate about tech startups, strong analytical, interpersonal, communications and problem solving skills
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, dynamic, passionate in I&T development and team player
  • Excellent proficiency in both verbal and written English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua

  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager
  • Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
  • Regional exposure and network with overseas media will be a definite advantage

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement effective corporate communications and public affairs strategies to boost local & overseas awareness of the Corporation and its key initiatives
  • Manage executive communications, including the strategic planning, preparation, and drafting of high-quality write-ups, messages, and talking points for senior leadership
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to effectively deliver high-impact media engagement events to promote the Corporation and Hong Kong innovation and technology (I&T) ecosystem
  • Work closely with tech ventures and startups in Hong Kong Science Park and beyond to promote their innovations and leverage on their inventions to raise the overall profile of Hong Kong I&T ecosystem
  • Support the team to develop integrated communications strategies which cover stakeholder engagement, reputation and issue management, and media relations
  • Develop and edit a wide variety of corporate literatures and press materials, including press releases, speeches, media interview messaging and presentation materials
  • Build and maintain good relationship with media and key stakeholders in the I&T ecosystem, handle media enquiries and monitor public and media opinions
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor or the management
