The Manager, Corporate Accounting, reports to the Sr. Director, Asst. Corporate Controller and leads the Corporate Accounting team. This role oversees a Senior and Staff Accountant to deliver timely, accurate, and compliant accrual-based accounting under US GAAP. The Manager is responsible for operational execution, process improvement, and team development, while fostering collaboration across the broader accounting organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Five years of experience in month-end close accounting is required
  • Proven knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong Excel skills are required
  • Team-player attitude that demonstrates a willingness to help on ad-hoc projects
  • Initiative and desire to take ownership of projects and function with a high-level of autonomy and discipline within a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior managerial experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of Workday or other ERP platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the monthly close process for all Corporate entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting timelines.
  • Oversee general ledger activity and ensure timely preparation, review, and integrity of balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor senior and staff accountants, including performance management, career development, and succession planning.
  • Partner closely with Corporate FP&A to support monthly financial reviews, analyze results, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments across the organization to gather critical accruals and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, standardization, and automation across teams to enhance efficiency, scalability, and controls.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and SOX/internal control requirements.
