About The Position

Build the future of our finance function We are looking for an experienced CPA who wants to play a central role in the evolution of our organization. More than a management position, this opportunity will allow you to contribute directly to the transformation of our finance function by implementing more efficient processes, developing team talent, and supporting business growth through reliable, relevant, and high-quality financial information. Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Controller, you will lead corporate accounting and financial close activities while driving continuous improvement, automation, and process standardization initiatives. You will be a key partner to stakeholders across the organization and will actively contribute to building a modern, agile, and scalable finance function.

Requirements

  • A CPA designation.
  • At least 7 years of accounting experience, including experience managing a team.
  • A strong understanding of financial close and consolidation processes.
  • A strong interest in continuous improvement and process transformation.
  • The ability to influence, engage, and support teams through change.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of the financial information produced.
  • Oversee consolidation activities and help maintain a robust control environment.
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial results, including financial statement notes, supporting schedules, financial analyses, and audit-ready working papers.
  • Review and approve complex journal entries and oversee analytical reviews and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial information.
  • Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and technical support.
  • Challenge the status quo, identify improvement opportunities, and implement innovative solutions that simplify accounting activities, reduce manual effort, and improve the team’s overall efficiency.
  • Serve as a technical accounting resource, helping to resolve complex technical issues, support audits, guide accounting practices, and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Act as an advisor to the finance team and internal business partners.
  • Collaborate on various initiatives that support the organization’s growth, including integration projects, process optimization, finance transformation, and organizational evolution.
