About The Position

Avid Core is seeking a Manager, Consulting to serve as the onsite manager, team lead, and primary client liaison for a federal law enforcement support team in Washington, DC. This is a full-time role responsible for personnel supervision, task coordination, quality assurance, and communication with government and company leadership. Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in administrative, operational, analytical, or business support roles
  • At least 2 years of experience managing administrative, operational, or business support personnel
  • Ability to manage personnel, competing tasks, resources, issues, and client deadlines
  • Experience serving as a client liaison or primary point of contact for senior stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Proficiency with data reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, and executive communication skills
  • Experience supporting federal government or law enforcement clients is strongly preferred
  • Sound judgment when handling sensitive personnel, operational, and performance information
  • Ability to obtain and retain the required federal background investigation

Nice To Haves

  • Project management, supervisory management, Microsoft Office, or similar professional certification is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate contractor personnel performing administrative, operational, logistical, and analytical support activities
  • Serve as the primary liaison with government staff and leadership and maintain alignment with contract requirements
  • Translate client priorities into clear assignments, deadlines, performance expectations, and resource plans
  • Oversee task priorities, workloads, staff assignments, and resource changes based on government needs
  • Monitor individual and team performance and provide timely guidance, coaching, feedback, and support
  • Ensure work products meet requirements for completeness, accuracy, clarity, consistency, timeliness, and client standards
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve staffing, performance, schedule, operational, and quality issues
  • Prepare and deliver recurring status reports, briefings, staffing updates, risk summaries, and other management deliverables
  • Track work accomplished, planned activities, issues, risks, deliverable status, and corrective actions
  • Maintain current staffing and onboarding records, including assignments, start dates, equipment status, and background investigation status
  • Support personnel onboarding, offboarding, transitions, training, and continuity of client deliverables
  • Coordinate with government and company stakeholders regarding performance, staffing, workload, budget considerations, and open issues
  • Oversee compliance with security, confidentiality, government-furnished property, records, and established client procedures
  • Support surge requirements, special projects, meeting facilitation, and other high-priority initiatives as directed
