Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of relevant experience in project management of large and/or complex projects.
  • Excellent Demonstrated Leadership Skills
  • Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff.
  • Ability to represent the project team and the company in public forums.
  • Strong team building skills.
  • EPC contract management and negotiating skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong understanding of contracts and contractual risks and structure.
  • Strong commercial, technical and construction knowledge and skills.
  • Demonstrated on-site leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and directs large major construction projects (significant capital budget with 2 - 5 years duration).
  • Has main accountability and responsibility for project oversite.
  • Directs multiple teams including engineering, construction and commissioning functions.
  • Has responsibility for and manages total project scope, schedule and budget from conception to completion.
  • Manages necessary resources (including construction project managers, contractors, Dominion project managers, engineers, technicians, start-up and commissioning teams) and administration from within and outside the organization including contractors and employees.
  • Responsibility for compliance with contracts (safety, environmental, technical, quality and commercial).
  • Primary interface with engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors and other contractors that interface with project including Transmission, gas pipeline, utilities, local community organizations and site inspectors.
  • Has ultimate responsibility to transition project from Construction to Operations.
  • Typically has multiple discipline oversight (technical and business) accountability and reports to a Director or Executive.
