About The Position

The Operations Manager-Configuration is responsible for the successful configuration of each QuickTalker Freestyle device to our quality standards and to maintain inventory levels based on defined goals and performance standards. This person ensures that daily work, projects, and long-term goals are completed efficiently and in alignment with organizational strategies. They serve as both a leader and a coach, providing directions, removing barriers, and ensuring their team has the resources and support they need to succeed. This role requires a high degree of accuracy and cross-functional partnership with departments including Shipping, Warehouse, Supply Chain, and Customer Service. In this role you will collaborate with the director of order fulfilment to ensure all key performance goals are met. Within a work week, 60% of the configuration Manager's time is spent on people-leadership — supervising staff, providing performance feedback, managing workloads, and fostering professional development. 30% focuses on strategic and operational oversight, including process improvements, cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring department initiatives are aligned with AbleNet's goals and standards. The remaining 10% is for hands on leading by example actions.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of: assembly processes, inventory counts/control, stock movements, QTF configuration and shipping
  • Strong sense of urgency

  • Ability to operate motorized assisted lifts
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years applicable experience
  • 2 years working in AbleNet Operations (Trial, TLK, and QTF Configuration/Shipping)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all QTF-related configuration activities to ensure consistent product availability for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Set clear department goals and KPIs for the configuration team and hold the team accountable to hitting them.
  • Manage and maintain the daily keep-fill plan for all inventory movement within the QTF area of the warehouse.
  • Direct and participate in cycle counts and recounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Drive the 5S Warehouse Methodology and promote the 7 Rules of Engagement in your department.
  • Own the onboarding and training process for new staff on QTF fulfillment operations.
  • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities and partner with leadership to develop and implement solutions.
  • Supports and promotes AbleNets QMS.
  • Manage team timecards and PTO requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain or obtain DOT certification as required by the role.
