About The Position

The Manager Communications plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the communication strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and values. This position is responsible for overseeing internal and external communications to ensure consistent messaging and brand integrity across all channels. The Manager Communications develops compelling content, manages media relations, and coordinates corporate communications initiatives that enhance stakeholder engagement. By analyzing communication effectiveness and market trends, this role continuously refines strategies to maximize impact and reach. Ultimately, the Manager Communications ensures that all communication efforts support the organization's reputation, growth, and mission in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in communications, with a proven track record in managing communication projects or teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging messages.
  • Experience with media relations and managing communication channels including digital and social media platforms.
  • Proficiency in communication tools and software such as content management systems, social media management tools, and analytics platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in a corporate or agency environment with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of crisis communication and reputation management strategies.
  • Familiarity with graphic design and multimedia content creation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive internal and external communication strategies that support organizational objectives, enhance brand awareness, and promote consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Create, manage, and deliver engaging, on-brand content for employees through a variety of communications channels, including the intranet, email campaigns, newsletters, videos, articles, collateral, town halls, webinars, and internal events.
  • Draft, edit, and oversee a wide range of communications materials, including executive communications, HR communications, corporate announcements, newsletters, press releases, media advisories, social media content, and other stakeholder-facing communications.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership, Human Resources, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of messaging, support key business initiatives, and reinforce organizational values and culture.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Growth and Marketing leadership to plan and execute communication campaigns and projects that support business goals, employee engagement, workforce connectivity, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Lead employee engagement and corporate social responsibility communication programs, including support for Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), site initiatives, community engagement programs, recognition efforts, and culture-building activities.
  • Manage media relations by responding to inquiries, coordinating press activities, and supporting external communication efforts that influence corporate reputation and brand perception.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure consistency and alignment between internal and external communication strategies, messaging, branding, and campaign execution.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on communication effectiveness using engagement metrics, audience feedback, and industry trends to continuously improve communication strategies and outcomes.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and project management support for communication initiatives, ensuring high-quality deliverables, timely execution, and measurable business impact.
