About The Position

Help shape how Coach speaks — from the voice of the CEO to the stories and experiences that bring the brand to life for employees around the world. As a key member of the Tapestry Global Communications team, the Manager, Communications for Coach is a high-access, hands-on employee communications role for a strategic storyteller who combines strong judgment with creative ambition. Working at the intersection of Coach and Tapestry, you’ll partner with senior leadership and teams across creative, external communications, social impact, regional and functional areas to uncover meaningful stories, turn business and brand strategy into compelling narratives, and create communications across written, visual, social, audio and live formats that inform, inspire and connect Coach employees around the world. We’re looking for someone who sees possibilities, brings a point of view and moves ideas from concept to impact. You’re energized by a blank page, comfortable challenging familiar approaches and excited to experiment with new ways to capture attention and build connection. You can move seamlessly from advising a senior executive to shaping a town hall to producing a video or social post. This role reports to the Director, Employee Communications and operates within a collaborative, global matrix where creativity, initiative and the ability to connect dots across the organization are essential.

Requirements

  • Exceptional storytelling skills. An outstanding writer and editor who can find the story, sharpen the idea and make complex information compelling.
  • A bias for action. Anticipates what is needed, takes ownership and moves work forward quickly.
  • Creativity, courage, and curiosity. Brings ideas and a point of view, respectfully challenge convention and tests fresh, brand-right approaches.
  • Hands-on versatility. Comfortable creating across multiple formats and know when to make something directly or collaborate with a partner.
  • Strong executive presence. Able to advise and influence senior leaders while remaining collaborative, curious and open to feedback.
  • Comfort with ambiguity. Able to connect dots, pivot quickly and manage competing priorities without losing sight of quality.
  • A global and collaborative mindset. Builds relationships and influences without authority across brands, regions, functions and levels.
  • 5+ years of experience in employee, brand, executive, corporate communications, ideally within a global, matrixed or public-company environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing communications strategies and taking high-visibility work from idea through execution.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills across audiences, voices and formats; portfolio or work samples preferred.
  • Experience working directly with senior executives and translating their ideas into compelling communications.
  • Experience creating multi-channel content, which may include presentations, social content, video, audio, digital communications and live experiences.
  • Fluency with social and digital platforms and curiosity about AI and emerging communications tools.
  • Ability to use data and insights to evaluate effectiveness and improve communications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Coach employee communications strategy and editorial roadmap
  • Develop and drive an integrated communications approach that brings Coach’s strategy, creative vision, and culture to life for employees around the world.
  • Build relationships across the brand to uncover compelling stories and turn complex ideas into clear, engaging narratives.
  • Elevate leadership communications: Serve as a trusted communications partner to senior leaders. Create engaging communications across speeches, presentations, video, emails, social, podcasts and other formats, capturing leaders’ voices while bringing fresh ideas for how and where they show up.
  • Find and tell stories that make Coach distinctive: Build relationships across the brand – from the Creative Studio and stores to PR, the Coach Foundation, regions and functions – to uncover the people, ideas and moments worth sharing. Partner with External Communications and Coach PR to connect internal and external storytelling.
  • Create and produce across formats: Take ideas from concept through execution across written, visual, social, audio, video and live experiences, including storytelling that brings the Coach employee experience to life through Coach LinkedIn and other talent-brand channels. Bring a strong editorial point of view and an instinct for what will make employees stop, pay attention and engage.
  • Lead through a global matrix: Partner with Coach and Tapestry stakeholders across regions and functions to ensure communications are globally consistent and locally relevant, while keeping work moving across a complex organization.
  • Learn, experiment and raise the bar: Use audience insights, engagement data and communications metrics to understand what is working and what could work better. Test new approaches, formats and channels and apply learnings quickly. Stay close to culture, fashion, media, technology and the changing ways people consume information.
