Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps Manager The Manager of the Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps Teams will play a pivotal role in driving the design, implementation, management and observability of our cloud platforms. This role will lead a team of cloud engineers responsible for building scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions using tools such as infrastructure as code (IaC), container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, cloud services, and other relevant technologies. This role will also lead a team of site reliability engineers responsible for observability of our digital ordering platforms and implementing changes and bugfixes to ensure all platforms are scalable, resilient and performant.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years managing Cloud Engineering team with 5+ years of experience in a Cloud Engineering role, with a proven track record of managing cloud platforms and SRE practices.
Experience in cloud-based DevOps and managing a mid-size distributed team.
Experience with Agile development methodology.
Experience with writing infrastructure as code (IaC) (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc)
Experience with a unified, real-time monitoring and analytics platform, such as Grafana or Datadog
Experience using a CI/CD tool like Github actions, CircleCI, etc.
Ability to effectively communicate with multiple partner teams from requirements gathering to roadmap planning to delivery.
Understanding of DevOps fundamentals such as security, scalability, and reliability
Ability to design and create cloud-based software defined networking.
Familiarity with fault tolerant infrastructure designs including the use of regions and availability zones.
Results driven with reliable follow through preferred.

Great verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, decision-making, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills

Nice To Haves

Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or relevant cloud provider certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud platform ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and ensure successful delivery of cloud projects.
Responsible for cloud engineering team capacity planning and staffing allocation activities to ensure sufficient staffing for current and future needs.
Build and mentor a high-performing cloud engineering team.
Establish a comprehensive development plan for each team member, focusing on skill enhancement and career growth.
Work with team to define measurable and meaningful KPIs for Engineers to strive to and follow.
Provide thought leadership, coach the organization on cloud principles, automation, observability improvements, self-healing, high availability/scalability, and root cause analysis.
Responsible for managing cloud platform operational cost, understanding the budget and optimizing the spend to achieve maximum value from Cloud investments.
Ensure team follows best practices including threat modeling, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, security monitoring/incident response enablement, to ensure privacy and compliance regulations are followed.
Continuously assess and improve processes and workflows to drive efficiency and quality.
Leads research emerging application and cloud service trends to determine their relevancy and fit for the organization.
Manage vendor relationship with cloud and other providers.
