The Manager, Clinical Services oversees a set of Counselling programs in the Youth Unit and is accountable to the Senior Manager of Clinical Services. The Youth Unit serves youth (12 to 29 years of age) and their families in the east end of Toronto with a mission to empower youth to make positive change. The Counselling programs provide psychotherapeutic and other supports for people with mental health and/or substance use issues, including concurrent disorders and dual diagnosis within an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, harm reduction and mental health recovery frameworks. Reporting to Senior Manager, Clinical Services, the Manager, Clinical Services provides ongoing oversight of a number of Youth Counselling programs and their staff. Such programs may include: MOH-funded Community Counselling, Keeping Families Together and Healthy Teens (child welfare-funded), Counselling for Intensive In-Home and Live-In Treatment, MCCSS-funded Youth Justice Counselling programs, and Counselling for Open Custody-Detention program clients.
