About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Manager, Clinical Operations supports the planning, organization, implementation and maintenance of daily clinical practice operations within Cook Children's Physician Network (CCPN) in the areas of non-physician clinical skills and competencies, clinical orientation, clinical processes and clinical programs. This position conducts bi-monthly CCPN Safety and Clinical Orientation classes, Quality Initiatives and Process Improvement, and hands-on training as needed to new and established clinical staff in regard to clinical practice (competency and skills) and clinical programs (technology development). The RN nurse manager will provide guidance for the clinic staff in collaboration with the CCPN team, with an emphasis on elevating the patient experience, excellent customer relations, sound clinical judgment, and appropriate decision-making based on best practices. Travel within the CCPN network to support new clinic openings and acquisitions in addition to supporting clinic requests for onsite assessments, as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Bachelor of Nursing degree
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas required.
  • Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 5 years nursing experience required.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and current Texas automobile liability insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred
  • pediatric and ambulatory experience preferred.
