Requirements

• Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a Bachelor’s degree in another field if willing to begin a program leading to a Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Nursing within 12 months of hire and completed within 3 years
• BLS
• National certification by the end of 2nd year in position
• Minimum of two years of progressive clinical experience with demonstrated leadership skills

Nice To Haves

• This manager will be responsible for both KHWT ICU and ACU 1S. ICU experience preferred.
• ANM experience preferred.
• Masters in Nursing preferred, a Masters may be mandatory if required by a regulatory agency

Responsibilities

• Maintains operational responsibility for one or more nursing units on a twenty-four hour a day basis.
• Responsible for planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care to patients in all settings where nursing care is provided in collaboration with other health care providers.
• Accountable for the provision of safe patient care, compliance with department strategic objectives, participation in performance and practice improvement activities.
• The delivery of evidence based nursing care at Kettering Health Network reflects the philosophies, missions, vision and values of the organization and nursing department.
