Works closely with Senior Manager to ensure company, department, and team goals are met. This role oversees team specific lab operations and is a key point of contact for process and product knowledge when the senior manager is not present. The Manager is responsible for the seamless transition of automation and test improvements into the production workflow, analyzing and troubleshooting lab processing errors, and providing recommendations. They also support supervisors in closing out NCRs and are responsible for the initiation and timely close-out of CAPAs. Ensuring departmental lab compliance with regulatory bodies and adherence to approved procedures are critical. The role requires maintaining an organized, safe, and efficient work area and actively interacting with interdepartmental teams such as OPS, Accessioning, Engineering, Stats, R&D, and Support. The Manager handles employee issues, including complaints and disciplinary actions, in collaboration with the Senior Manager and/or Human Resources, and explains the reasoning behind instructions and changes to the team. Regular meetings with Supervisors are held to discuss goals and progress. The Manager is responsible for performance reviews of direct reports and overseeing the performance review of the entire staff, planning and leading team meetings, and developing high-performing employees through learning, cross-training, and challenging opportunities. They recognize and reward talent through merit reviews, promotions, and recognition programs, and adhere to Departmental Expectations. The Manager also oversees the training program for direct reports, notifies management of requirements for tools and supplies, receives assignments as objectives, determines resource allocation to meet schedules and goals, provides guidance to subordinates within established policies, recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures, and manages the coordination of a section or department's activities with responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing.
