About The Position

The Manager - Clinical Lab is responsible for the operational and fiscal management of the clinical laboratory and pathology in accordance with established hospital and department policies and standards. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements mandated by applicable state and federal accrediting and licensing agencies. The manager may receive special projects or other assignments with specified completion timeframes and must be prepared to participate in bench testing as departmental needs require. The role also performs routine laboratory testing to support the department as needed. San Dimas Community Hospital is a 101-bed facility on a 13-acre campus in San Dimas. It offers emergency services, a family birth center, orthopedic surgery, advanced diagnostic services, and cardiopulmonary and gastrointestinal services.

Requirements

Current and valid state license if required in the state where the laboratory is located.
ASCP certification or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements stated in CLIA (42 CFR 493.1489).
Five years of hospital laboratory work experience.
Two years of laboratory supervisory experience.

Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulatory, accrediting, and licensing requirements.
Complete special projects and other assignments within specified timeframes.
