Manager, Clinical Informatics
About The Position
The Manager, Clinical Informatics leads Munson Healthcare’s Clinical Informatics department, overseeing staff development, performance management, and operations. The manager advises clinical and operational leaders on optimizing EHR performance, quality, patient safety, and efficiency. The role directs workflow redesign and process improvement initiatives and establishes EHR best practices, standardization, and performance improvement strategies across the organization. In partnership with IT and clinical leadership, the manager evaluates, implements, and optimizes new technologies, system upgrades, and clinical applications. This is a hybrid position with an expectation of working onsite in Traverse City three days per week.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, healthcare, or a related field and 8 years of Clinical Informatics experience; alternatively, an additional 4 years of progressively responsible leadership experience managing others may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Clinical background required.
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all organizational levels.
- Proven success leading clinical and operational performance improvement initiatives in healthcare.
- Experience with EHR implementation and optimization.
- Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills, with experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
Nice To Haves
- Cerner EMR/CPOE experience.
