About The Position

The Sales Manager is a dynamic leader responsible for driving sales growth and managing a high-performing chemical sales team. This role involves developing strategic initiatives, fostering client relationships, and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • 6 – 8 years of progressive experience in sales management, preferably in a similar industry, or equivalent military or practical experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Proficient in CRM software and other relevant sales tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets. Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development to team members.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with overall business goals. Analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and recommend adjustments to sales strategies.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners. Collaborate with the team to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Evaluate individual and team performance against set targets and key performance indicators. Implement corrective measures and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Lead the development of chemical sales forecasts and budgets. Monitor actual performance against forecasts and take corrective action as needed.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments. Collaborate with the sales team to expand the customer base and increase market share.
  • Implement and enhance effective sales processes and workflows. Identify areas for process improvement to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape. Analyze competitor strategies and recommend adjustments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other departments to align strategies. Ensure seamless communication and cooperation between sales and other functions.
  • Generate regular reports on sales performance, trends, and forecasts. Utilize data analysis to derive actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
