Requirements

Strong leadership skills, with a background in management in the transportation Industry
3+ years in the transportation industry; bulk chemical a plus, but not required
Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite to track information/data, generate reports, and provide KPI’s to departmental leadership
Ability to perform well under pressure
Dispatch, planning, and leadership experience
Adaptable, skilled at evaluating options, and generating solutions
High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with TMW and Isaac fleet management software a plus
Google Apps knowledge a plus
Associate’s Degree or comparable relevant work experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Responsibilities

Day-to-day management of the Central Scheduling/Planning team
Prioritize freight based on available truck capacity
Accept or reject freight based on regional network balance
Support company and affiliate operations by planning, dispatching, and recovering freight
Work closely with terminal dispatchers and leadership to both cover their available freight and utilize available assets
Optimize the reloadable network by decreasing empty miles travelled
Strategize with leadership at the OTR Dispatch Center and the Departmental Director on how to improve operational utility as well as meet and exceed company objectives
Miscellaneous tasks as assigned
