Manager, Ceded Reinsurance Placement

Trisura is seeking a Manager, Ceded Reinsurance Placement for their United States operations. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in reinsurance or insurance within an insurance or reinsurance company, including reinsurance brokers
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Actuarial Science, or a related field
- Proficient knowledge of reinsurance concepts and methodologies to analyze and evaluate reinsurance structures, contracts, policies, and claims accurately
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex insurance data, identify trends, and make informed decisions for portfolio management and risk assessment
- Proficient computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, to organize and manipulate large data sets for reporting and modeling purposes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Passion for excellence and detail orientation
- Self-motivation and excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work within a close-knit team environment
- Excellent organizational capabilities
Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of reinsurance placements from origination to signed contracts
- Reviewing reinsurance structures, underwriting submissions, and terms and conditions
- Ownership of reinsurance contract process including technical review of clauses
- Attending reinsurer marketing meetings and trips to support placement execution
- Driving reinsurance broker relationships to ensure timely completion of placements
- Fostering reinsurer relationships to generate additional reinsurance capacity
- Working with the Reinsurance Operations team to support post placement activities
- Coordinating across Underwriting, Actuarial, Claims, and Risk to execute placements
- Developing reinsurance analytics and reports to drive decision making
- Supporting implementation of a new reinsurance system to drive efficiencies and growth
