Financial Lines Underwriter – International Facultative (Miami) Everest Reinsurance Company’s International Financial Lines Facultative Team is seeking an experienced Financial Lines Underwriter to join the team in Miami. In this role, you will leverage strong technical underwriting expertise, analytical rigor, and clear communication skills to profitably manage an assigned portfolio while supporting sustainable growth across Financial Lines products.

Requirements

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• You bring a minimum of three (3) years of underwriting experience in Financial Lines, including D&O, E&O, Crime, and Cyber.
• You have demonstrated experience analyzing and structuring facultative placements, including negotiating terms and conditions.
• You have strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risk structures and program designs.
• You exercise sound underwriting judgment with disciplined adherence to underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
• You are comfortable operating independently while contributing effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• You bring strong organizational skills and operational discipline, ensuring quality, consistency, and service excellence.
• You are highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• You are fluent in both Spanish and English (required).

Nice To Haves

• Portuguese fluency is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• You will underwrite and manage an assigned portfolio of Financial Lines facultative business, ensuring alignment with profitability, growth, and exposure management objectives.
• You will develop new business opportunities in line with departmental strategy and company underwriting guidelines.
• You will execute underwriting strategies to achieve budgeted premium, profitability, and portfolio balance targets.
• You will build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and intermediaries to enhance submission flow and market presence.
• You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Claims, Accounting, Product, and Operations, to support overall business objectives.
• You will monitor market conditions, competitor behavior, and underwriting trends to inform risk selection and pricing decisions.
• You will participate in marketing activities, including travel to assigned brokers and territories as required.
