About The Position

In this role, you will support the full lifecycle of strategy development, including strategy generation, forecasting financial impacts, implementation and testing. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, provide support on analytical deliverables, and translate strategy and policy changes into clear, detailed technical requirements. You will also provide support with the implementation of Risk technologies (TRIAD, Strategy Director etc.) to enable automation of strategies, policies and business rules. Collaboration with risk technology partners is key to validate implementation accuracy and run tests to verify expected outcomes. You will identify and troubleshoot issues in testing and production environments and recommend effective solutions. Post-implementation validation will be conducted to ensure expected strategy performance in production. Maintaining and enhancing monitoring frameworks for ongoing evaluation of strategy performance is also a responsibility. Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation on complex deliverables such as automation of processes, system updates, code enhancing and or analytics is required. Performing data-driven analysis to provide feedback to ad-hoc requests from management and to support credit policy development and maintenance is part of the role. Identifying opportunities to increase efficiency with automation and developing automation plans that align with business goals is expected. You will facilitate communication of data driven deliverables, retail credit analysis and system implementations to core team stakeholders, Senior Management and selected cross-functional audiences, conducting yourself as an owner of end-to-end deliverables and ensuring understanding across core team members. You will act as a subject matter expert and represent Risk in cross-functional working groups and communicate risk insights clearly to stakeholders across operations, product, collections, technology, and governance. Championing a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge is important. Ensuring business strategies remain within Risk Appetite Framework boundaries is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in credit lending, risk management, or related analytical/strategy roles.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing automation solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing complex requirements and automation processes.
  • Technical proficiency with programming or database tools such as SAS, SQL, Python, R, or Hadoop.
  • University degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with decisioning or account management systems (e.g., FICO DM, TRIAD, TSYS) is considered an asset.
  • Experience in programming scripting tools (such as VBA, C++, Java) for automation purposes is an asset.
  • Knowledge in model development, model validation and or maintenance is a plus.
