About The Position

WTC Utah is seeking a Business Outreach Manager to build relationships with prospective members and partners while expanding WTC Utah’s network and impact throughout the state. This role focuses on proactive outreach, business development, relationship building, and pipeline management. Working closely with the Chief Revenue Officer, the Business Outreach Manager will engage business leaders, identify opportunities for membership growth, and help bring new companies into WTC Utah’s community. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys meeting new people, building relationships, and creating opportunities that support both organizational growth and Utah’s business community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in business development, sales, outreach, relationship management, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to confidently engage executives, business owners, and community leaders.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple relationships and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience using CRM systems and pipeline management tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Experience working with business organizations, chambers of commerce, associations, nonprofits, or economic development organizations.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage prospective members and partners aligned with WTC Utah’s mission and strategic priorities.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, referrals, and relationship development.
  • Conduct meetings, presentations, and follow-up conversations with business leaders across Utah.
  • Clearly communicate the value and benefits of WTC Utah membership and participation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business leaders, community partners, and stakeholders.
  • Represent WTC Utah at meetings, events, conferences, and industry gatherings.
  • Leverage professional networks and referrals to generate new opportunities and connections.
  • Serve as a trusted ambassador for WTC Utah and its mission.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activity, interactions, and opportunities within Salesforce.
  • Track pipeline progression and engagement metrics.
  • Support reporting efforts related to business development activity and membership growth.
  • Ensure timely follow-up and consistent communication with prospective members.
  • Partner with organizational leadership to align outreach efforts with strategic priorities.
  • Support the successful onboarding and transition of new members into the organization.
  • Provide context, relationship insights, and relevant information to engagement teams to support long-term member success.
