Requirements

  • Master's degree in business, management, or other related field or the equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Five years experience in a healthcare facility required.
  • OR or surgeon business office management experience required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems, management information systems and software required.
  • Ability to conceptualize, plan, implement, and coordinate management information systems and projects required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting principles including ability to prepare and interpret financial reports and develop business plans for capital equipment required.
  • Duties require the ability to develop, direct, motivate and commitment from teams.
  • Must work effectively as a team member and team leader and prioritize work effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and provide effective and comprehensive management information for all perioperative services managers and coordinators.
  • Supervise and coordinate scheduling, information management and billing support staff functions.
  • Responsible for marketing and developing surgeon relations through patient scheduling, block scheduling coordination, accurate management, information, system support.
  • Work in support of the SDS Board of Directors and Perioperative executive committee.
  • Provide all necessary management information to this group.
