About The Position

We are currently seeking a Manager, Business Finance to join our IT Planning & Business Partnership team in Toronto, Canada.
This is a permanent onsite position.
As a Manager, Business Finance you will serve as the crucial link between the IT function, and the business finance teams based Brazil, Canada, Europe and APAC regions. This role requires a strong end to end understanding of finance processes and expertise in business process improvement.
The will proactively build a multi-year IT and data strategy and an associated roadmap that fits the needs of this business area. Your finance deep experience and skills will allow you manage the demand intake, identify, and prioritize IT solutions, work with the customer to develop business cases, and, once approved and funded, hand over demand to the IT Project Management Office (PMO) for delivery as a project

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or related discipline.
• CMA or MBA in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• A minimum of 10+ years of end-to-end Finance experience with 5+ years in Minning industry or similar sector.
• Expertise in end-to-end finance processes and operations including regional budget planning and execution.
• Proven ability to develop technology roadmaps, align IT initiatives with business goals, and secure stakeholder support.
• Strong track record in IT service delivery, ensuring SLAs are met and resolving issues effectively.
• Fluency in English is required and Portuguese is preferred
• Experience managing customers' expectations and strong ability to build and maintain long term relationships with business areas.
• Influencing & Stakeholder Engagement with demonstrated ability to gain support from both business and technical teams.
• Creative approach to understanding business needs and proactively identifying solutions.
• Creative problem solver, able to understand business strategy and needs and proactively identify solutions
• Excellent verbal and written skills to build consensus and effectively convey complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with value management and LEAN concepts / tools.
• Demonstrated interest and exposure to digital solutions, finance IT systems, and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships and develop a robust understanding of the business's strategy, roadmap, and pressing challenges.
• Shape and manage demand intake by working with the business to develop business cases and identifying the products and services that support the business areas.
• Lead the IT governance forum for Finance, hosting a recurring routine in collaboration with Finance leadership to review and prioritize IT initiatives and provide input into the overall IT Steering Committee governance forum
• Develop an IT and Data Strategy and Roadmap for VBM Finance; collaborate with other IT BPs to ensure that support functions roadmaps integrate well into the Finance roadmap
• Oversee the delivery of IT for Finance, acting as the key interface point to ensure alignment and integration with the VBM ITOT strategic plan, architectural direction, and governance processes
• Lead business performance reviews (monthly, quarterly, budget, forecast) and prepare reports for senior executives and the Board.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Supply, Operations, Technology) to align strategies and optimize processes.
