Manager, Business Data Analytics
About The Position
As a Business Analytics Lead on the Cross Retail Data & Analytics team, you will serve as a trusted analytics partner to leaders across Investor Services, Client Service & Support, and Retail Experience. Your work will turn complex business questions into actionable insights that support growth, strengthen client experiences, and enable informed decisions. You will build relationships with business, product, data engineering, and governance partners to clarify needs, define success measures, and shape scalable analytics solutions. By applying Business Analytics, SQL, Problem Solving, and Storytelling, you will develop reliable datasets, identify trends and risks, and communicate recommendations that leaders can act on with confidence. Success requires sound Decision Making, curiosity, and Adaptability as priorities evolve. Your ability to balance business impact, data accuracy, feasibility, and delivery expectations will help analytics engage earlier and deliver measurable value across Schwab.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data analysis
- 3+ years of experience supporting business partners in a consultative, advisory, or liaison capacity
- Proficiency in SQL and experience translating business questions into structured queries and analyses
- Experience reconciling data across multiple source systems while maintaining accuracy and consistency
- Demonstrated Communication, Problem Solving, and Stakeholder Management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt within a dynamic, cross-functional environment
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business-related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience supporting sales, risk, or client service organizations within financial services
- Experience working with cloud data platforms or enterprise data environments
- Experience partnering with product, technology, data engineering, or data governance teams
- Ability to use Storytelling and Data Interpretation to communicate complex findings to varied audiences
- Strong Curiosity and Decision Making when identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
