About The Position

This position is responsible for organizing and supervising all aspects of breeder hen and pullet production to ensure that the proper number and quality of eggs are received at the hatchery each week. This includes performing egg projections which determines pullet placements and ensures a consistent egg supply to the hatchery managing egg production to ensure a good quality hatching egg at the least cost possible and supervising technical advisors in bird and grower management. Other responsibilities include aiding the growers in bird management overall farm management equipment etc. overseeing the policies and procedures for both grower and hatchery operation and coordinating placement and movement of breeder pullets and males. Other duties include maintaining a good working relationship between Tyson Foods and contract growers managing the sale of breeder hens and performing other responsibilities as the need arises.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 3 plus years' experience.
  • Elementary computer skills (e.g., checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates, creating simple queries).
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
