About The Position

This position is responsible to assist in controlling expenses; provide for the compliance and coordination of the federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements; interpret and enforce company policies; assist in the determination of manpower needs and makes recommendations; prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports to ensure that they reflect conditions accurately; solve problems in an effective manner with sound follow up; work with department heads to meet production quality yields and goals while at the same time ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product; inspect and maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of housekeeping safety sanitation and security; supervise production supervisors; and oversee all designated shift operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of related industry experience.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a meat processing facility.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, and HACCP regulations.
  • Standard computer skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, HACCP, Safety, Security, Sanitation, Quality, yields, cost, and efficiencies.
  • Strong math ability is a plus.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
