About The Position

The Manager, Branch is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all functions of an assigned location, which could be an express center, a full-service branch, or a cluster of branches. This role ensures quality Member service experiences, maintains audit compliance, directs branch focuses to achieve credit union goals, and provides coaching and development to staff to enhance the Member service experience. The position utilizes lending authority to make quality loan decisions and creates plans to increase Member participation through a focus on quality service in all team member interactions. The Manager also attracts new Members through community involvement and conducts/coordinates staff training on school visitations and off-site presentations. They create an environment for a world-class Member experience, provide consultative services to Members regarding credit union products and services, and ensure team members do the same. The role maintains consumer loan decision authority, assists with escalated lending situations, and directs branch marketing efforts. Additional functions include providing daily support to team members, answering questions, problem resolution, communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job results, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining team members, and developing/enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards. The Manager also accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances. They contribute to organizational goals as a member of the Management team, establishing and implementing plans with short-term impact, and evaluating operating procedures and policies to ensure high levels of Member service, productivity, and internal control. The role initiates, researches, coordinates, and implements department or division projects, ensures compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, and understands Credit Union organizational goals and key performance indicators to achieve desired results. Compliance with regulatory requirements and assigned training, including BSA regulations, is mandatory.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience required
  • 5-7 years of prior functional experience required
  • 1-3 years of prior management experience required
  • Participation in the CA DMV pull program may be required depending on assignment
