About The Position

As a Manager within BCG Vantage on our Topic Activation path within BCG's Financial Institutions Practice Area, you will collaborate and partner in a growing global team, providing US wealth management industry expertise and insights to Asset & Wealth Management clients. You will work together with case and proposal teams to develop and provide expert advisory backed up by comprehensive analyses. You’ll serve as a thought partner and content expert to case teams and topic/sector leaders, helping structure and solve complex business issues. While contributing to client cases, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected. Additionally, as a Manager within BCG Vantage you will drive development of intellectual property and knowledge assets to support the wealth management business, serving as an active contributor to commercialization efforts for the Asset & Wealth Management sector within the Financial Institutions Practice Area, whilst working with business leaders to drive proposals & go-to-market efforts. As a Manager within BCG Vantage, you may line manage junior colleagues, taking responsibility for their goal setting, ongoing feedback and career development support. Requirements

  • Recognized as a wealth management subject matter expert and thought partner.
  • Excelling at solving complex business problems through relevant analytical approaches and customized solutions in the US wealth management industry.
  • Inserting yourself into the business and establishing credibility by taking positions/drawing conclusions on a range of challenges.
  • Communicating with senior stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to engage your audience effectively with evidence-based insights that turn complex content into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Managing a portfolio of projects, with strong awareness of business priorities and commercial impact.
  • Driving development and maintenance of knowledge assets e.g. tools, topic materials, based on different client contexts.
  • Working in an ever changing and complex environment, and comfortable with ambiguity and navigating a fast-paced environment.
  • 3+ years as management consultant with a focus on the U.S. wealth management industry required.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Strong business acumen, superior analytical & problem-solving skills, and conceptual framing capabilities.
  • Exceptional PowerPoint & Excel skills; fluency in English.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates who served as in-house strategy consultant embedded within a wealth management firm preferred.
  • In lieu of consulting experience, 4+ years of experience at wealth management firm required; candidates with direct exposure to corporate/business strategy functions strongly preferred with 6-10+ years of industry experience viewed as a differentiator.
  • Familiarity with the asset/investment management industry beneficial.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
