About The Position

Within Banking Operations, the ACH team supports reliable money movement while protecting clients and the firm through disciplined risk management, regulatory awareness, and operational excellence. As Manager, Banking Operations - ACH, you will serve as a senior individual contributor who leads through expertise, influence, independent judgment, and ownership rather than direct people management. You will partner across Bank Operations Leadership, Digital Services, Product Management, Technology, Compliance, Financial Crime and Risk Management, Service, and external vendors to advance business initiatives and strengthen ACH capabilities. You will shape and deliver transformation and process improvement efforts from problem definition through implementation, adoption, and measurement. Your work will include supporting complex and high-risk ACH approvals and escalations, researching issues with internal partners and partner banks, resolving reconciliation breaks, and identifying opportunities to reduce not-in-good-order work. You will use operational data and sound judgment to identify trends, recommend scalable solutions, and help ensure ACH practices remain aligned with applicable banking requirements. You will also build sustainable team capability by developing procedures, knowledge content, training materials, and implementation plans; sharing specialized knowledge with new and experienced colleagues; and supporting cross-training across related Banking Operations functions. Success in this role means delivering measurable business impact, mitigating risk, improving production quality, and creating durable operational improvements that help the organization serve clients with integrity and operate effectively at scale. Requirements

  • 5+ years of Bank Operations and ACH experience, including in-depth knowledge of the brokerage or financial services industry
  • Significant knowledge of ACH regulations, operating requirements, risk controls, and complex or high-risk transaction support
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives through influence, coordinate work across Operations, Risk, Compliance, Technology, Service, and other partners, and drive work from problem definition through implementation and measurement
  • Strong judgment, risk analysis, research, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and make recommendations that support client and business outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze operational data, identify trends, manage process improvements, and develop scalable solutions that reduce errors and operational risk
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document procedures, develop training content, present complex information clearly, and build consensus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to change, take initiative, and deliver results in a dynamic environment while maintaining professionalism, integrity, and personal accountability

Nice To Haves

  • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification or interest in obtaining a banking certification
  • FINRA Series 7, 63, 9 and 10, or 24 licenses
  • Experience working with third-party ACH vendors and partner banks
  • Experience with reconciliation break resolution, not-in-good-order reduction, and operational controls
  • Experience developing and delivering training, onboarding plans, procedures, and knowledge content
  • Knowledge of related Banking Operations functions, including wires, checks, internal transfers, and loss prevention
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate downstream impacts, support change initiatives, and respectfully challenge existing processes to improve efficiency and scalability
