About The Position

This role involves explaining operational functions, clarifying departmental roles and their relevance to enterprise strategy, and describing the interdependence of support and line operating functions. The position identifies primary operational functions of the organization and leverages data analysis tools to explore data, develop hypotheses, and use data to influence strategic work and build insights. It also involves identifying, implementing, and driving technology change, using visualization tools to represent data and construct stories to influence decisions. The role owns the delivery of project activities, supports process updates, and demonstrates functional knowledge of the business unit. Communication is expected to be confident, credible, and concise, utilizing data and fact-based information for recommendations. Active listening, constructive feedback, and proactive networking are also key. Specific technical duties include updating CAD drawings, describing drafting conventions, identifying design and visualization system features, troubleshooting control systems, and understanding electrical design concepts in supply chain automation. This includes knowledge of wiring schematics and common mechanical components of distribution and fulfillment center equipment. The role assesses tasks for automation potential, obtains information on alternative automation solutions, and assists with analyzing space and cost requirements. It identifies and resolves issues related to automation machinery, quantifies supply chain decision outcomes, and understands supplier management, inbound/outbound logistics, and business process design tools. The position examines, interprets, and explains workflow materials, analyzes processes, and offers recommendations. It carries out business process design tasks with some supervision, documents implementation obstacles, produces project status reports, obtains stakeholder information, and assists with detailed project plans. The role provides input for project tracking charts, identifies issues for new automation designs in facilities, documents implementation plans, and prepares integration tests. It measures and compares results with test criteria, describes system interrelationships, applies continuous improvement concepts, and understands engineering economics and financial data implications. This position does not supervise employees.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or the equivalent in Engineering (any) or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Engineering (any) or related field and 2 years of experience in engineering, supply chain, or related area.
  • Experience designing, analyzing, and engineering warehouse automation solutions.
  • Experience building both quantitative and qualitative analysis for Emerging Technology and Innovation projects (OEE).
  • Experience with data analysis and process optimization for supply chain systems.
  • Experience with Facility and Network Organization, Process Flow Modeling, and Layout Design Modeling.
  • Experience with Engineering Economics and performing end-to-end business case retrospectives.
  • Experience scripting and object oriented coding languages (R and Python).
  • Experience collecting, processing, and cleaning data from disparate sources using SQL and Python.
  • Experience designing and building intuitive dashboards and generating daily reports in Tableau and PowerBI.
  • Experience with vendor identification and evaluation of new technologies for distribution centers and fulfillment centers.
  • Experience conducting Cost Benefit Analysis and Sensitivity Analysis.
