Manager, Automation Delivery (Finance)
About The Position
This is an opportunity to lead and grow Finance automation delivery at a pivotal stage. As Manager, Automation Delivery (Finance), you will help shape how micro-automation is scaled across Canada Finance, starting with Controls, Expense Accounting, and FP&A, while building practical delivery standards and a strong foundation for sustainable growth. You will combine people leadership, delivery oversight, and hands-on solution judgment to turn business opportunities into practical automation outcomes. This role offers meaningful exposure to Finance transformation, cross-functional partnership, and the chance to deliver measurable impact through better efficiency, stronger controls, and improved ways of working.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in automation delivery, analytics, technology, or process improvement roles.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, VBA/Office Scripts, or similar low-code automation tools.
- Experience leading delivery work, with direct people leadership or strong player-coach capability.
- Strong problem-solving and solution design skills, with the ability to turn business needs into practical, supportable automations.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience supporting Finance functions (Controls, Accounting, FP&A).
- Exposure to Power Automate Desktop or RPA tools.
- Experience working in large, complex, or enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Finance micro-automations (intake → design, build, test, deploy, support).
- Manage a small team (1–3) of automation developers/analysts, providing direction and coaching.
- Maintain steady delivery across low-risk quick wins, medium workflows, and select higher-complexity/RPA solutions.
- Set clear stakeholder expectations on scope, timelines, assumptions, trade-offs, and value metrics.
- Apply risk-tiered governance, scaling documentation, testing, approvals, and evidence to impact.
- Provide hands-on leadership in solution design, architecture, and technical review.
- Build strong relationships with Finance stakeholders across Controls, Expense Accounting, and FP&A.
- Partner with Data Engineering, BI, and Analytics to align with data standards and reporting dependencies.
