About The Position

Our Calgary office is looking for a Manager to join the Assurance team. This role involves reviewing assurance and non-assurance engagements for private or NPO organizations to ensure compliance with relevant professional standards and Firm policies. The Manager will effectively plan, supervise, and execute these engagements. Assurance & Accounting projects may include financial statement preparation, due diligence procedures, services related to capital raising, and involvement in tax services for assurance and non-assurance clients. A key aspect of the role is to develop a portfolio of new clients and identify business opportunities with existing clients on an ongoing basis. The Manager will address client issues promptly, adhering to BDO Policy and utilizing strong technical skills and accounting experience. Applying appropriate industry/business knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address client business issues is crucial.

Requirements

  • Professional designation required (CA, CMA, CGA or CPA)
  • 1+ years of management experience in an accounting and/or assurance role
  • In depth experience in relation to ASPE or ASNPO files
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Act as a leader in the Firm, continually focused on employee engagement
