About The Position

The Manager Assistant is a trainee role designed to develop high-potential employees in people and operations management. Under the guidance of an experienced manager, the Manager Assistant participates in key business areas involving employees, customers, and financials, and builds proficiency with managerial responsibilities. The role includes learning theater operating procedures and serving as a customer-service role model. The position is based in a theater environment with typical cinema noise, dust, and activity; noise may range from moderate to high depending on the area. Duties may change or be added based on business needs.

Requirements

Full-service restaurant background.
SERV Safe and Food Handler’s certification required.
Availability to work holidays, nights, and weekends, with increased hours during peak times.
Professional appearance and a positive, can-do attitude.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High guest-satisfaction expectations and focus.
Resourceful problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated and results-driven.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to stand, walk, lift, twist, bend, and traverse stairs frequently.
Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds and, with assistance, occasionally light-lift 25 to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Participate in employee-management functions, including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, motivating, performance management, conflict resolution, and administration of human resources policies and initiatives.
Model customer service and promote service excellence among employees.
Learn theater operational procedures and train, supervise, and coach others in those procedures.
Complete banking transactions, daily paperwork, and company reports.
Participate in training experiences and develop skills for future management roles.
