JOIN THE TEAM COMMITTED TO DRIVING YOUR CAREER FORWARD Job Type: Full time Exempt/Non Exempt: Salary Job Description: Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions): The Applications Manager will be responsible for the oversight of activities of an Application Services team. Collaborate with leadership to align and prioritize business and technology initiatives related to application management. Provide leadership and guidance for design, development, and implementation of all application projects and production support of all ACG applications. Maintain relationships with leaders to ensure they are proactively identifying and providing strategic opportunities to advance the business goals, through technology and innovation. Manage one or more Applications Development teams in an effort to accomplish established goals Utilize in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight across systems and applications Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects Contribute to formulation of strategies for applications development and other functional areas Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual data in complicated and unique situations Impact the Applications Development area through monitoring delivery of end results, participate in budget management, and handling day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project Develop and implement business plans, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with other departments to prioritize software development needs including design, development, and documenting and testing new and existing software. Evaluate results within business unit to determine if organizational objectives are being met. Analyze and resolve software development issues and needs in terms of the software's full life cycle. Additional Items to Post Specific Artificial Intelligence area: At least 3 years’ experience delivering in AI/Gen AI/ML projects Demonstrated delivery of Generative AI/LLM projects in production environments. Strong hands-on familiarity with LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and OCR solutions and how they solve business problems. Proven experience with cloud-based ML platforms and services (GCP and/or AWS) and deploying scalable AI systems. Proficient in Python-based development and frameworks used for building LLM applications (e.g., LangChain or equivalent). Experience defining and implementing CI/CD and MLOps practices for model & data pipelines. Solid knowledge of Agile delivery practices (Scrum, Kanban) and experience with scaled agile frameworks. Practical knowledge of Responsible AI (bias detection/mitigation, transparency, data governance, privacy). Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Gen AI frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Vertex AI, Langchain), Python Django, and cloud platforms like GCP and AWS Delivery Supervisory Responsibilities (briefly describe, if applicable, or indicate None): Participates in the department process related to the selection, hiring, training and development, coaching and review of assigned staff.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years’ experience delivering in AI/Gen AI/ML projects
  • Demonstrated delivery of Generative AI/LLM projects in production environments.
  • Strong hands-on familiarity with LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and OCR solutions and how they solve business problems.
  • Proven experience with cloud-based ML platforms and services (GCP and/or AWS) and deploying scalable AI systems.
  • Proficient in Python-based development and frameworks used for building LLM applications (e.g., LangChain or equivalent).
  • Experience defining and implementing CI/CD and MLOps practices for model & data pipelines.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance or related field or in the alternative a combination of education, certifications and work experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field.
  • 5+ years on application development teams
  • Proven track record delivering complex software solutions
  • A demonstrated track record of strong analytical and time management skills, including the ability to analyze and interpret data gathered from project team (s) to determine how information impacts business strategy and timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead multiple cross functional matrix teams with dotted line relationships
  • Leadership and decision making skills
  • Able to develop, oversee and guide initiatives to completion
  • Facilitate project priorities and implementation of schedules
  • Experienced in MSOffice products (i.e. Excel, Access, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent presentation, persuasion and interpersonal skills including report/proposal preparation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and the efforts of direct reports
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to think strategically and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with OpenAI APIs, Google Vertex AI, or other major GenAI platforms.
  • Experience with Python web frameworks (Django/Flask) or microservices architectures that serve ML models.
  • Google Cloud Platform DevOps exposure and hands-on experience with GCP services (e.g., Vertex AI, BigQuery, GKE).
  • Experience with agentic AI architectures or multi-agent orchestration.
  • Google Cloud Generative AI Leader (preferred).
  • Prior experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, insurance) or enterprise-scale security/compliance programs.
  • Knowledge of the functions, operations, and mission of the specific department preferred
  • Management experience in a team-oriented workplace preferred.
