About The Position

Anthropic is building a dedicated Security team within its Applied AI organization to help security teams use Claude effectively and responsibly. The Manager, Applied AI Cyber Specialists will establish and lead the team, deciding which security customers and account types to prioritize, hiring and developing the first Applied AI Architects, and defining how the team works with Sales, Applied AI Engineering, security, legal, trust, and external partners. The role also remains hands-on with a small number of strategic security customers, using account experience to develop repeatable practices and improve Claude for defenders. The manager will guide enterprise customers from discovery through evaluations and proofs of concept, and help them move from one-time code scans to sustained security workloads such as application security in the development lifecycle, continuous automated penetration testing, alert triage and investigation, and vulnerability and threat intelligence. They will establish responsible-use standards, including when human review is required, and create the team’s initial security playbooks, reference implementations, and evaluation approaches. The role brings customer insights back to Product, Engineering, and Research to make Claude more useful and trustworthy for defenders.
