Bring your passion and experience to our advanced and innovative Anatomic Pathology laboratories and manage and coordinate the administrative and technical activities of these exciting clinical settings. This position oversees the clinical operations of Anatomic Pathology at NYP Westchester which includes Specimen Accessioning, Gross Room, Histology, and Front Office to ensure effective processing and analysis of specimens to aid in the diagnoses and treatment of patients. This position works with Managers, Supervisors, Histotechnologists and Pathologists' Assistant to meet service goals; maintain and improve workflow efficiency and productivity; ensure associate and customer satisfaction, and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies (TJC, CAP, DOH, OSHA). This position is also responsible for Project Management, workflow improvements including construction, and other initiatives. This role is a full-time day shift position working Monday-Friday. Location is our NYP Westchester campus in Bronxville NY (Westchester County) across from the Metro North train station.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree
- Meets all requirements of the New York State Department of Health for a Laboratory Supervisor
- New York State Clinical Laboratory License from New York Education Department
- 5+ years of management experience including regulatory aspects of practice
Nice To Haves
- Masters degree in Health Science, Health Services Administration, or related field
- Laboratory Leadership, particularly within Anatomic Pathology
- American Society for Clinical Pathology Certification (ASCP) or equivalent
Responsibilities
