About The Position
Under general direction, performs routine and occasionally more complex technical procedures and support functions in preparation of specimens for microscopic evaluation and reagents for the Histology Department. Organizes, prepares and accessions specimens for processing. Performs diener functions as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of relevant experience
- Minimum 6 months laboratory experience or completion of an accredited clinical laboratory science training program.
- Background in mortuary science or related field.
- Hands-on autopsy assistance experience—this is a core, essential responsibility of the position.
- Candidates must have prior autopsy exposure to be considered.
