About The Position

Manager – Americas, Channel Partner and Power Management Working within Woodward’s Industrial Product Line Segment, this role will be responsible for leading a regional team that is accountable for developing and executing strategies that drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and strengthen Channel Partner and customer relationships. This role leads hiring, training, coaching, and performance management for the sales team while ensuring execution of customer engagement plans, gameboards, and heatmaps. The Sales Leader uses sales data, financial metrics, and market insights to monitor performance, address operational challenges, and align priorities with business goals. This position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, customer management, and problem-solving skills to build a high-performing sales organization.

  • Skilled in conducting performance appraisals, setting goals, and managing team performance.
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics and the ability to manage sales budgets and forecasts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying strategies and expectations.
  • Ability to identify and resolve operational and technical challenges impacting sales performance.
  • Experienced in hiring, training, and developing high performing sales professionals.
  • Advanced proficiency in analyzing sales data and metrics to inform strategic decisions and drive business performance.
  • Skilled in managing and enhancing relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Adept at guiding and influencing team members and stakeholders to adopt strategic initiatives.
  • A strong understanding of channel partner management
  • Market knowledge with regard to the Power Management business segment, including data centers, Switchgear manufacturers, EPC’s
  • Ability to work across business segments, up and down an organizational structure, as well as laterally with other areas of the Woodward organization that are critical to the success of our strategies
  • Ability to work in multi-cultural settings, as this role will be one of three leaders that will be accountable for the overall Channel Partner and Power Management business globally
  • Strong technical aptitude

Responsibilities

  • Designs and implements comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence.
  • Ensures design is executed with customer via internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensures that Woodward is maximizing the value of the strategic partnerships we have established in their assigned region
  • Oversees hiring, training, and performance evaluations of the sales team to ensure high productivity and engagement.
  • Develop and coach Sales team members through complex sales challenges and the implementation of innovative solutions.
  • Tracks and analyzes sales metrics to assess team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Adapts sales plans and priorities to address resource and market challenges, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
  • Establishes and nurtures relationships with key Channel Partners and customers to drive sales growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for the execution of customer gameboards, heatmaps and customer engagement action plans.
