About The Position

Munson Healthcare is seeking a collaborative, patient-centered Practice Manager for Internal Medicine, Family Practice, and Pediatrics to oversee operations for two primary care and pediatric clinics in northern Michigan. This leader will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient experiences, ensuring efficient clinic operations, driving strong financial performance, and fostering a supportive, engaged team culture aligned with Munson Healthcare’s mission and values.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred; or 4+ years of progressive leadership experience in an ambulatory, medical office, or outpatient setting.
Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities; capable of working independently and collaboratively.
Medical terminology, EMR systems, coding, insurance billing, scheduling, data entry, and multi-line phone systems.
Interdisciplinary team collaboration and problem-solving within physician practices and across departments to improve quality and operation.

Responsibilities

Direct daily operations of assigned physician practice/program, including staff management, provider coordination, scheduling, and workflow optimization to ensure patient access, efficiency, and productivity goals are met.
Develop and monitor annual budgets, oversee financial performance, and utilize key metrics (e.g., revenue cycle, provider utilization, access benchmarks) to drive operational and revenue outcomes.
Maximize front-end revenue processes (scheduling, insurance verification, authorizations, POS collections) and collaborate with billing teams to ensure accuracy and resolve improvement opportunities.
Lead all HR functions including hiring, coaching, and performance management; foster communication and engagement with staff and providers; maintain patient satisfaction scores at or above target through evidence-based practices.
