About The Position

The ideal Alterations and Tailor Shop Manager is motivated, results oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day. This role involves teaching, coaching, and developing employees to provide the best customer service, identifying and recruiting talent, and ensuring alterations/tailoring are completed according to Nordstrom guidelines, service, and quality standards. The manager will also be responsible for organizing department workload, educating employees on proper fit and procedures, and managing office and labor expenses.

Requirements

Previous experience in alterations/tailoring
An understanding of safe and proper use of all equipment in the shop
The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers and customers
A high level of ownership, accountability and initiative
The ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs

Nice To Haves

A high school diploma, or equivalent (preferred)

Responsibilities
