About The Position

The Manager of Accreditation and Regulatory is responsible for the oversight, planning, implementation and management of activities that support UF Shands in maintaining a successful accredited health care organization. This manager may lead or supervise staff.

Requirements

• Master degree in Nursing, Public Health, or other health care related field required.
• A minimum of 3-5 years current experience as a leader or manager in an acute healthcare environment required.
• Superior knowledge, skills and ability in working with accreditation and regulatory agencies required.
• Strong leadership skills.
• The ability to provide broad vision and analytical skills to complex and comprehensive problems and lead improvement initiatives is required.
• Strong communication and negotiating skills required.
• MSN candidates must hold a current RN license in the state of Florida and obtain national nursing certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the on-site survey coordinator
• Acting as a resource and consultant to the organization
• Acting as a liaison between the organization and its accreditation and regulatory bodies
• Serving as an expert in continuous improvement processes
